It’s been a very random week around here. It felt like it was going so slow. Wednesday felt like it should’ve been Friday and now all of a sudden it’s Saturday and I am wondering where the week went.
Some randomness from me before I share some links I loved in my reader this week.
On Monday I wrote and turned in a paper for the class I am taking online to finish my degree. This class has been a huge stressor for me – I thought it was going to be really quick and painless and easy. It has been anything but. My professor is hard. And sometimes mean. I apparently don’t handle doing average very well.
Last night, I went to a Royal Wedding Party. Are you tired of hearing about The Royal Wedding? Call me a hopelessly idealistically romantic, but I can’t find fault in celebrating love. It was a fun reason to get dressed up, wear sequins in my hair and eat chocolate cake while laughing non-stop with friends.
I didn’t want to check my grade on my paper before the party because I was afraid it would ruin the whole evening for me. I checked this morning and I got an A. Would you like to celebrate with me? I made cupcakes. Yes, I really made cupcakes for myself with chocolate frosting and sprinkles because of a grade on a paper. I don’t need much of an excuse to eat cake.
I had a breakthrough in laundry this week. I am going to share later this week the earth shattering change that has led to less stress in the mornings when it comes to matched socks for my kids. I am sure you are on the edge of your seat in anticipation.
We need rain. Can someone send us rain?

wow! get on with your bad self and your A!!! Honestly: do you think it feels better coming from a mean instructor??
And I looooved the pics of the Royal Wedding Party. Wish I’d had some friends to get in the spirit with me.

Yes, it absolutely feels better! I had resigned myself to just finishing the class and not worrying about my grade. What a relief.
Thank you – would’ve LOVED for you to be at the party with me!

Congrats on your A! That’s awesome that you’re finishing your degree. Good for you! I WISH we could send some rain. We have way too much water, flooding everywhere. I told my husband last night that I wish we could fill tankers with our excess water, drive them south and west and water the countryside. It’s too bad we really can’t do that. Praying you get some rain soon!
