I had no intention of being away from blogging for 2 weeks, but there it is. As the days went on, it seemed like I was inspired about everything except writing and sharing. The part of my mind saying that it doesn’t matter took over and so I just kept not sharing. I actually found that it was freeing to sit down to write and think to myself “I have nothing to say” and to just be able to get up and go do something else that did feel right at the time.
I’d like to now share some of what I’ve been doing for the past 2 weeks before I dive back into regular blogging again.

I ran a 15K with my eyes closed. Ha. I still find it amusing that for all of the 9.3 miles that I closed my eyes right then. As my dad says, it sure looks like I’m in 1st place in that picture
Hubby and I have continued our Friday morning date tradition. I don’t know how many times you actually have to do something to make it a tradition, but I am calling it one anyway.
Spring has sprung! It’s one thing to have temps warm enough to go to the beach. But I love waking up to birds chirping and seeing flowers blooming.
Speaking of the beach…
Hubby has taken up surfing, which means we’ve been there playing more than usual. So nice and fun – and free – except for that not free surfboard!
And I’ve been watching March Madness, which means a lot of laying on the couch and yelling at the tv. Every time I pick a team to root for, they lose. Does that happen to anyone else? So that I don’t feel really lazy laying around, my 50 pound daughter helps me with leg lifts.
I also gave our entryway another $15 makeover. I’ll be back to show you that tomorrow.
How have YOU been?

Wait! You live in Jacksonville? I grew up there and lived there until 2004! I have run the River Run!!! Those beach photos made me jealous!!!

What a wonderful two weeks! Congrats on the run. I too have been watching lots of basketball. If the team you root for always loses, please don’t root for Kansas!

Congrats to you! Great accomplishment!
I love the Jax area, we have been to the tall ship festival before! We’ll be headed down that way in May for a mini-vacay!
