It’s simple. Writing down what you love, appreciate, what is making you smile, what you are thankful for is a quick and easy way to capture a moment, a sliver of time. It will help you to savor the right now, the things – big and small – that make your days fuller. It’s about focusing on what you have and not what you don’t have. My list today has on it:
: chilly mornings : quiet time : a good book : sleeping in : pumpkins : baking together as a family : supportive friends : running shoes : home : coffee : laughter :
Just taking a few minutes to be quiet and think about these things will make you appreciate the little things more.

I think I definitely need to take a moment to relax and make a list b/c I just read your list and thought it said “sleeping in pumpkins”. Oy, I have a 3 month old and that is my excuse.
