{31 Days of Living Simply} Day 2 ~ A Process

This simplicity thing doesn’t come easy. It’s a process, not a destination. Don’t expect to overhaul everything in one day and have a simple life. Strive for simpler today and then a little simpler than that. There is no magic answer that will have you saying “Hooray, I have a simple life now!” Things change, we change, seasons change, our place in life changes. It’s something to work on every day. Don’t feel like it’s a chore. Enjoy the process of finding you have more by having less. The process of being more and doing less. Enjoy The Path You Are On instead of looking for the finish line.

  1. Love the advice. So true, as soon as we make a decision to change we want that immediate change. A lifestyle change is a process and we must forgive ourselves of our mistakes. Thanks for the reminder!

  8. It is a process and it is not always easy. With the process comes letting go, of things we think we need or have to have, only to find out in the long run we don’t.

  10. I think simplicity is a mindset. It has to start in our mind and then we need to act on it.

So appreciate your words, here: It’s a process, not a destination.

You’ve got me thinking more, Emily. Great post!

  11. Just as you said, it IS a process, one that we need to learn through. We need to work thru our issues with excess, and I am not just speaking about stuff, but also activities and attitudes.
    Thanks!
