Home Sweet Home

Hello! Remember me? I’m back. From the most wonderful, busy, fun-filled summer vacation. Two trips to the Adirondack Mountains (one just hubby and me without kids!), a trip to the Catskill Mountains, a trip to Algonquin Park, and days of fun in between at the cottage. 7 weeks of whirlwind fun. It was so amazing just being in each and every moment with my family, watching my kids embrace the summer. I went back to old familiar places, saw friends and family that it has been too long since our last meetings. I laughed, cried, swam, got too much sun, got a whole lot of exercise, and have arrived home inspired and rejuvenated feeling happier and healthier than ever. The house projects went ignored, the to do lists involved outdoor fun instead of errands to run. I barely remembered how to drive when I had to go to the grocery store last night.

Slowly, I will be getting back into the swing of things here. I have so much to share about our time away and what we have in store back here at home. Those projects that went ignored need to get done sometime! I have a bedroom to finish, an office to start, and a whole lot of cleaning to do. Plus, I have got to fix this blog and try to make it pretty again. In time…

As amazing and beautiful and fun-filled as our summer away was, there is no place like home. I was so glad to walk in the door last night and kick my feet up on my ottoman and know I could walk around in my underwear if I wanted to.
