- You think you might as well have your paycheck deposited at Home Depot or Lowes
- You know what it means when someone says they have spray paint finger
- You have a closet dedicated to your stash – fabric, scrapbook paper, tiles, paint, mod podge
- You think tools are a fabulous gift to receive
- You’re bored so you paint something
- You never do a project without taking photos (and then blogging them)
- Your idea of a hot date is strolling the aisles of Home Depot while holding hands with the one you love while the kids are with a sitter
- You have 5 projects going at the same time
- Your kids learn to use tools before they can talk
What would you add?

When you shop with your non-DIY friends/family, you point out that most of the things they are buying could be made at home, at 25% of the cost (or less). You proceed to explain how, ignoring the eye-rolling and sighs.

Ditto Ditto Ditto to all of the above!
I don’t even know what to add, because EVERY SINGLE one of those bullets is real for me!!

Yup, I can relate to all.
We’re all in the same boat, aren’t we?
How are you Emily!?

ha, ha! very fun!
I would add – you view objects in catalogs not for what you could buy, but rather how much cheaper you could create your own version for!

Oh I’m definitely on this team….love the one about strolling the aisles of Home Depot on date night….what is it about that store that is SO romantic? Love this post.
Thanks for visiting me too Emily!

You receive Home Depot gift cards for birthdays, Chirstmas, etc.

This cracked me up. I actually have a spray paint hand right now. It looks like I’m bleeding profusely from my index finger, but it’s just paint.
Well, I have a ladder in the living room right now and three dismantled light fixtures on my kitchen table. I think I’m a DIY junkie.

Love the list, Emily! I find stray splatters of paint on some of my favorite shirts, on my kids’ clothes, in my hair…it would probably take 2 more minutes to change into my paint clothes and put on a hat, but sometimes I’m too impatient.

Too funny. I’m a DIY junkie wannabe. When we get our first home, all my wildest dreams will come true

Cute list!
I’m a DIY junk makeover junkie, along with all the above! I’m constantly viewing ‘junk’ finds as to hmmmmmm can I paint that? Spray paint is my BFF!

WOW, I feel like we’re soul sisters! lol I would only add to your list that you might be a DIY junkie if you have a binder of lists and plans of past projects, future projects and dream projects that you get a total thrill from just by putting a check mark by each task. LOVE your blog, so glad I found it.
