Thank you for sharing! I just finished reading your financial series. Debt does suck (as I am trying to pay it off now). Yet it didn’t just happen. It came from choice after bad choice.

Mistaking a want for a need.

Also, assuming that I had the means to pay for it when the paycheque came in…when I didn’t. (which is the trap that I fell into)

Very interesting blog post. Your article is really interesting. I enjoyed this post. This blog post is fantastic! I have to say that after continually reading awful as in, same old ideas, little quality content, etc. article posts on other sites, it’s enjoyable to actually read something that has some thought put into it. It’s a pleasure to read good content, especially after continually seeing rehashed %$!# that writers and bloggers are putting out nowadays. It’s always nice when I come across content that actually has value, I’ve been seeing a ton of subpar writing attempts recently. Anyhow, thanks again and I’ll check back frequently to see what else you have to offer. I’ll check back in the future to see what else you have up your sleeve. Keep up the excellent work! BTW, I like your site design, but your header image was only loading half way for me. P.S. Your header is messed up a bit in IE. The problem could be on my end but I thought you might want to look into that.

My husband and I are getting closer to being debt free and I (a natural spender) can’t get over how truly freeing it really is!

Yes it does suck! Thanks for sharing your story so openly! We are in a bit of debt ourselves. I see we,but mostly me because my husband don’t doesn’t like any debt unless its good debt like a home loan, or a car that we needed. I, on the other hand, love credit cards. I pay them off, but then I get the itch to use them again.

Its funny how you know something to be true, but you continue to do the same thing. Thanks for making me realize that debt free is possible. Not easy, but possible!

What strikes me most is your statement “I’m not going to pretend to be what I’m not.”

I think this gets right to the heart of why so many people are in debt today, that we’re simply all putting on to create and protect and image that we want others to have of us.
