Lazy Sunday Project

Lazy Sunday Project

The kids and I got up, I made a yummy breakfast of huevos rancheros, then we headed out to do some errands. Along the way, I stumbled upon a yard sale, scooped up a chair for $2 and brought it home.

While the kids played in the yard with a new friend, I spray painted it, then drank some coffee waiting for it to dry so I could scuff it up. The laziest project ever.

The living room is constantly changing and the tiny room is always in need of additonal seating. This is a nice addition that looks like it’s been loved forever. I know it will be starting today.

I have a table and five chairs like it in my school room. Can you share with us the steps you took to redo it? Thanks! Looks great.

I scuffed it by using sandpaper. I Seriously spent about 20 minutes spray painting it, then after it was dry, 2 minutes sanding edges where it would naturally wear and then decided I was done. SO easy!

I’m slowly becoming addicted to your site. I don’t have my own place yet, but when I do, I can’t wait to gather a bunch of old French ‘junk’ and make it over for my home. Very inspiring.

dude. I have 5 of these chairs languishing, unused, waiting for their table to surround, most of which are covered in crayon and marker. I love the idea of painting them and using them for extra seating! Why didn’t I think of that??
