A few weeks ago, we went through all of her clothes and one of the things to go was last year’s Christmas dress. She wasn’t thrilled about it, but we handed it down to her best friend who is a year younger and a size smaller and therefore fits it perfectly. With it came a promise for a new Christmas dress this year. Well, it hadn’t arrived in the mail by this afternoon and the season’s first dressy event was upon us. A quick trip to Goodwill and I found the perfect color, perfect size, and perfect amount of princess-ness in the only holiday dress on any of the racks. $4. I scooped it up, brought it home, washed it up, and set it on her vanity for when she got home.
She’s a rough and tumble princess. For two hours before the Christmas show, she jumped off the couch, calling the dress her parachute.
A happy girl, a lucky mom, a snazzy deal made for a happy, dressy, holiday evening.
I cannot BELIEVE you found that at Goodwill!! All I ever seem to find are crocheted tea cozies and size 4X ladies undergarments. Beautiful. Yay for Christmas dresses!!!
