With These Hands

With These Hands

I put in a french braid before she heads off to school.

I pick him up for a warm embrace when school is over.

I make meals and bake goodies that bring us together.

I pull the wagon.

I pick oranges from the tree.

I put on bandaids.

I care for our home.

I create and show these kids how to create.

I tuck the covers up just a little higher.

I teach.

I learn.

By using these hands, I am reminded: slow down.

I love the poetry in your soul. We see the world through such similar lenses.
