A Fun Fall Craft For Kids

A Fun Fall Craft For Kids

I don’t do complicated projects. I like simple, quick enough to hold the attention span of two crazy kids, and not much clean up afterwards. So, here is another easy little project my kids and I did over the weekend while we were going crazy with mod podge and making our halloween candle jars.

I have shown you before this easy peasy photo tiles project and then I did that one again after we had leftover subway tile from the kitchen makeover. I had random spare tiles laying around so I got some of those out, some fall themed scrapbook paper, and all I had to do was draw and cut out shapes for the kids to mod podge onto the tiles. My daughter wanted leaf cut-outs, so I did my best.

She mod podged them to the tiles

this project is easy enough for a 2 year old if you are brave and willing to let them get messy

I also cut out some pumpkins and she lined them up on her tile

pretty cute!

Just a warning, 2 year olds armed with mod podge may think it is fun to stop doing the intended project and instead see if they can mod podge their arm to something, anything really.

Nevermind what I said at the beginning about only doing projects that require minimal clean up. Life is too short to worry about messes.

I have just recently (to my chagrin!) discovered Mod Podge. I think it might just be the coolest thing ever, and since I just made some Halloween votives with it, I have an nearly entire jar left! I’ve been thinking about finding more projects that would use it…this is great!`

What a great project! I think we could actually do this one in my house. I am decidedly the most un-crafty person ever, but I think this is possible for us. Even my husband is more crafty than I; he made a beautiful Jack-o-Lantern with our son yesterday. Also love the “warning” about two-year-olds and Mod Podge. So cute!!!

By the way, thanks so much for stopping by my blog last week. It was great to see your comment on my post! :D
