Framed Burlap
I am slightly embarrassed even to post this because it is so simple, but I feel compelled. I have had 3 friends over in the past few days and after seeing our bathroom makeover, this is the top thing commented on. No, not the beautiful vintagey wonderful floors that make my heart go pitter-patter. Not the shiny white and clean beaded board on the walls. Not any of that stuff that we labored over for, like, 2 weeks. The number one thing that my friends have said “oh I love that!” to is these frames with burlap in them.

It took me 90 seconds and 10 cents to do this project. Seriously. And they’re hogging all the spotlight.

I am adding this to Kimba’s DIY Day. Check it out for lots of fabulous projects!

Sometimes the simplest things do make the most impact. I love it!

They are really neat. Burlap seems to be the “it” fabric right now. Why not frame it?

Ok I think these are super cute but I DO appreciate your bathroom floors and beadboard…since that’s exactly what I have been pining for for about 3 years
I keep showing my husband your pictures of the bathroom going “Yeah, this would be lovely wouldn’t it?” and hoping he catches on lol
And I agree with Donna, I think Maine doesn’t have any burlap I can’t find it anywhere!! and if I do it’s super expensive.
Oh well!

What a fab idea – they look fantastic. They would also look good with a small embellishment stuck on. may have to try this thanks for sharing

It is a cute project! I think I’ll do that, too. I just bought 4 yards of burlap for a project and I know I’ll have some left over. Thanks for the idea!

I love these, too! I can imagine them with single words hand stitched simply in white in the bottom corner of each, like calm or serenity…

That’s a good way to add texture to a room.
I’m not sure if you put in a new faucet, shower head, or toilet but getting the low flow type will save you a lot of money over time. Dual flush toilets are kinda amusing lol
