My inlaws left behind an amazing collection of old Mason jars. I am so anxious to clean them up and put them to good use!
Some are in great shape and I'm going to use them for canning. The others that are not as good are going to get put to storage work!

Have a good day

I use the jam sized masons for making homemade yogurt. I can make 2 doz individual yogurts in about 15 minutes and not have all of that extra plastic. I usually fill them 2/3 full to leave room for fresh cut fruit.

There's nothing better than a mason jar. Nothing! I have lots of the blue antique ones with zinc lids that I fill with bulk herbs, and dried yummies from our garden. Loved your pics and post.

I take quart size mason jars, put some sand in them, nestle a lit votive candle into the sand, tie some raffia(sp.?) around the top. They look really pretty at night time. My absolute favorite thing to do is to get those very large Bell Mason jars and stuff them with the tiny lights on a string. I use colored lights or white lights. Try it and you will be amazed how awesome they look on a kitchen counter or on the bathroom counter. Stunning on a mantle display at Christmas time, too!
