Shopping At TJ Maxx and Marshall’s

Back at Christmastime, I was given gift cards to TJ Maxx and Marshall’s and shared my experience at TJ Maxx and at Marshall’s. A couple weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to shop these stores again with $25 gift cards and asked to blog about my experience.

I received the cards in time for Father’s Day shopping, so I went out in search of the perfect gifts for the amazing man that my kids call daddy. At TJ Maxx, we browsed the men’s section full of clothes, gadgets and gear and with the help of my kids, we picked him out some very nice clothes to wear golfing. At Marshall’s, again, with the help of my kids, we chose an ipod jacket for his Ipod Touch and my kids each picked him out a kid book about daddy. The kid book section is one of the best parts of Marshalls, I think.

While usually I enjoy these stores for the great deals for me in sections like the housewares and women’s clothing, it was fun to shop these stores in sections I don’t usually go to. I was pleasantly surprised with what there was to offer and hubby was very pleased with the items we chose, well within the budget of our gift cards.

How about you? Do you love shopping discount stores like TJ Maxx and Marshall’s for deals? For me, they are an important tool in my frugal arsenal.
