Cottage Bathroom

June 21, 2009 at 10:01 pm , by Emily

I have said before how much I love cottage style bathrooms. Today, I am going to share the bathroom that has inspired my love of all things cottage-y when it comes to bathrooms.

Here is the main bathroom of the cottage

I looooove this clawfoot tub. My mom and I were at a community yard sale a few years back when the remodel was going on and the person wanted $40 for this thing. My mom offered $20 and it was hers! $20!!! She refinished it and painted it red and it’s fabulous.

As bathrooms go, I love this one because of the details. An old cabinet plus some candles, an old mirror and some flowers. It doesn’t take much to make a room simply pretty.

There you have it. Tomorrow, I’ll show you the kitchen. After I clean it up!

I am adding this to Hooked on Fridays at Hooked on Houses.

$20 bucks – really. wow. I love a really simple bathroom. that way when it gets cluttered up with bathroom type stuff – it is an easy clean. This is my style bathroom!

I love the tub! Once I had a guest house that had an old claw foot tub. And I painted it blue. Loved that spot.

What a clever idea to paint the tub red! Talk about making it your own. I like the tongue and groove paneling too.

I love it! You could even paint some red poppies or other flowers on the curtains to add some more red. Love the tub! $20 is a steal!
