I have mentioned before that I love Starbucks. Say what you will, but I love that place. Yet, for 6 weeks, here I am at the cottage and the closest Starbucks is a 30 minute drive. You betcha I am not leaving the serenity of this place and driving that far just for a latte. I may be a coffee junkie but I am no fool.
I have had to get creative and have started making my very own chai lattes at home. I bought a box of Tazo Chai mix for the price of one grande latte and it makes 5 homemade lattes. I have been getting my weekly daily fix right here at home and I must say that a latte in a big mug while curled up in the gazebo overlooking the lake during naptime beats a trip to Starbucks anyday.

I’ll bet it does Emily! LOL Your family’s lake houses are wonderful sounding and I would give up much more than coffee to spend a week there
Have a great weekend!

I got turned off my Starbucks years ago when I found out that they add sugar to some of their milks – I’m a huge advocate of avoiding sugar in all its forms. I love my local indie cafes in my area too, but I wouldn’t leave where you are for that either!

Oh my – what a beautiful place! I would be spending my time in that gazebo too. Such a serene little sanctuary.
Blessings,

Hey friend – we’re just espresso people now. Me and my hubs love a couple cups in the AM in our own home. And we’ve saved a ton of money.
Just popping in to say hi!

If I had such a serene spot in my back garden I would never leave.

I do buy my coffee at Starbucks and have them ground it for me. Then I have Starbucks coffee every morning without the hassle and gasoline of driving back. It’s only about a mile away. But I don’t want to get in the habit of paying that much per drink. I have a coffee bar here in my kitchen. And it tastes mighty good every morning!

I don’t know what your Starbucks is like, but there ain’t one around here with a view in that photo!! I agree — I wouldn’t trade a Starbucks for an ounce of vacay either. ; )
Enjoy!

I am a HUGE chai tea latte addict, but I make mine at home with the concentrated liquid too! Everyone once in awhile I splurge for one from Starbucks, ‘cuz I LOVE that foam, but most mornings it’s homemade!
