I thought I’d share how things have come along since the last time I shared what’s going on in our garden. Two months ago, it looked like this in our garden.
I went out and snapped some photos yesterday after another rain storm. With the deluge of rain we got last week, I was afraid everything was going to die from drowning. Happily, some things are still going strong. Thankfully, we have a lot of starter pots on our potting table that haven’t gone in the ground yet and those are doing really well.
I got these mums last year at the end of the season for $2 so I didn’t get to enjoy them for very long before they died. They came back a few weeks ago and I love seeing them every time I step out onto the patio.

I love roses. For mother’s day this year, instead of getting me a dozen roses that would die a week later, my very sweet hubby bought me a rose bush. A fabulous addition to our outdoor space.

My daughter planted zinnias in starter pots a while back. When the rain came last week, I guess they were happy because they bloomed right in their starter pots and now we have to find a spot to put them in the yard. She was so happy to see her “babies” growing up. I know how she feels.

Some of our food is doing well so far. We’ve been using basil and rosemary from the garden already, as well as some green peppers.

The blueberries are a favorite for the kids, so once they turn blue, they don’t have a chance of staying on the bush. Here’s one lonely one right before being snatched up by tiny fingers.

How are thing looking in your garden so far?

Everything looks GREAT! We’re way behind since we’re so far north. But it’s still exciting to grow some of the things you eat.
The rose & the zinnias are beautiful. I’m a big fan of both!

Your garden is looking great! You’re a bit farther along than me. My blueberries aren’t blue yet and my peppers are just getting blossoms now. I do have a couple of tomatoes on the vine. The zinnias looks so pretty in the starter pots! They’re such good plants to grow from seed. Everything looks so pretty!
