Photographs and Flowers

There are two things that I will never tire of and never have too many of in my house. Those things are photographs and flowers. I love that photos are something I can rotate and just by changing a photo in a frame, change the feel of a room. I love that photos and flowers are inexpensive ways to pretty my home.

Photos and flowers do the trick for filling a wall in my kitchen

I am often wary of buying stuff to bring into my home. I am a clutterphobe, so lots of decorative stuff tends to make me itchy. I like simple, clean, and minimal. And I especially love when the things that line my walls and shelves are full of family memories and love. So, I am never afraid to add another photo or more flowers.

I’m with you on the photos! I have a wall of “shame” which is essentially my scrapbook of friends and family!

I also love photos of flowers, I never tire of taking them or looking at them (particularly in the winter when we’re covered in a blanket of snow).

Hi Emily :)

I agree. Flowers and photographs are what makes a house a home, besides the family that lives there of course.

I love those pictures of your garden. I’m thinking of starting one myself, but I have to wait, since Ohio doesn’t really start Spring until May.

Oh and thank you… thank you for understanding what I had to say. I don’t think a lot of people got it, so I appreciate that you did :)

I love photos, too, but I’m so terrible about displaying them and keeping them updated. Pure laziness. Thank you for the motivation!

How tasteful your decorations are!

I love your displays of photos and flowers. And that mirror (I think it’s a mirror?) is so colorful and pretty!

I totally agree! I’m the same way–too much stuff around makes me feel off-kilter and a little “itchy” as you put it, but I can never seem to have too many family photos or fresh flowers sitting around.

Lovin’ those green apples in the glass jar, too.

So glad you joined my party today, Emily! Hope you have a sweet weekend! :-)

As my taste matures, I’m starting to like simple and stream-lined. Unfortunately, I have all this furniture that I bought years ago that I can’t part with because it’s has sentimental value now.
