When I shared my kitchen makeover yesterday, I realized in one of those “doh!” moments that I still have not shared here what I did with my living room recently. This makeover was a bit different. With the help of my fabulous friend Melissa at The Inspired Room, I reset the room by removing everything, deleting everything that wasn’t working and put everything back. She helped me create a really cozy space that includes a conversation area and brings the room together much better. For the grand total of $11 (the cost of paint at Sherwin-Williams to paint my coffee and end table), I feel like I got a whole new room. I don’t think I have to tell you by now that I am all about the imperfections in my home. So, quick, head over there and check out my living room and you can make a game of it to find all the silly things that are far from perfect but make this home to me.

Thank you, Melissa for all of your help and for posting the results of our virtual re-do.

Are you telling me that the picture is YOUR living room and not one in a magazine? That is awesome! You have such a great sense of decoration. Very inspirational, indeed.
I like how you “deleted” things you no longer want!

What a sweet compliment, Kacie! That is indeed my living room. I think I am so used to it, that it just looks blah to me usually
