Imperfection
January 28, 2009 at 7:24 am , by Emily

I am really excited to have a post up today over at The Inspired Room! I hope you’ll take the time to check it out. I wrote about wabi-sabi in my post perfectly imperfect. I have written about the concept here before but this post at Melissa’s place includes pretty photos
I hope you’ll go take a peek and say hi while you’re over there!

Thank you for writing about wabi-sabi … love it… My home is pieced together of passdown furniture, thriftying and eclectic mix but it’s a comfortable home for my husband and I and our 4 children, dog and a fish.

Hi! I wanted to stop and say two things. 1. Thanks for your comment on my guest post at Nesting Place, and 2. I enjoyed your post at The Inspired Room. I’d like to read more about the wabi-sabi ideas. Do you recommend a book?

I like that wabi-sabi concept. I hadn’t heard of it before. The Japanese culture is all about simplicity and seeing the beauty in things. And ‘perfectly imperfect’ and “embracing imperfection”….toooooo funnny! I recently wrote a post in my own blog with that same title and about the very same thing!! LOL I guess great minds think alike, eh? I enjoyed your article at The Inspired Room. Thanks for sharing
