I posted a couple months ago that we were starting our last big house project, the renovation of our master bedroom and bathroom. I pointed out then that this space was once a garage. The previous owners began converting it to a master bedroom and bathroom long enough to put up some oh so not chic faux wood paneling and installed an avocado yellow/green tub/shower. Hubby ripped those out back in October when I posted that we were getting started on the project.
Other things have gotten in the way of moving the project along. Hubby actually painted the exterior of the rest of the house, we did some gardening projects and just all around ignored this space for a couple of months.
When I went out of town last week with our daughter, he and my son took it upon themselves to start demolition. I got home and it looked like this

Oh the paneling. Please remove it!

Okay, better, now it’s gone. I never thought I’d be so happy to see insulation and studs. The paneling and the plywood floor (yes, really) got ripped out over the weekend.

The walls are all coming down and we’ll be rebuilding from the ground up new. See – who needs windows? Just rip out a wall!

From the outside…isn’t she lovely?

The most fun part about all of this is that we were storing stuff in there. We have no attic, no basement and ha ha no garage. The stuff now is living spread out around my house. It’s mostly contained in one spot but not all of it. It’s, to put it mildly, a little disorganized around here. Time to do more decluttering! My favorite!! It will be fabulous. I can’t wait to see one more space transformed into what we envision. I am busy deciding what I want the master bathroom to look like now. Feel free to leave all sorts of suggestions. As you can see, we’re laid back, flexible types and we have lots of space to do whatever we can dream up.

WOW. You all went in full force! Looks great though!

Oh, goodness, when you guys remodel, you don’t kid around, do you? Heh! Even at our old house we never pulled down exterior walls, so that’s a new one for me. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
