Thank you for reminding us that every day we have numerous blessings to be grateful for and that we should take time out to acknowledge those blessings, not least of which are our family, friends and colleagues. I have tried to acknowledge the people in my life in a book of poems called ‘Family and More – Enemies or Friends?’ and through writing those poems have come to realise that everyone whom we encounter in life is a blessing or gift, because whether we initially get on with these people or not, we can always learn something from them, hopefully becoming more understanding and forgiving in the process. As I say at the end of the book:

‘All these people
who color our lives,
darkly or brightly,
bless each of us in ways untold,
for through them we can find ourselves
and allow our heavenly inner glow
to miraculously unfold
in amazing, phenomenal perfection.
What a delicious, quite unique invention!’

May we all of us find time to celebrate the gifts in our life the whole year through. Thank you for your words.
