I love your list! I especially like your phrase imperfectly beautiful because much of Christmas is just that. Christmas Eve is my favorite day of the year, so we have that in common as well. And I agree with you about that magical family time the day after Christmas. There is a welcomed and well-deserved peace that comes in the advent of the official celebration. Hi Sweet Emily! I love your list. Does it make you feel all grown up to be on your own to create a holiday for your kids? I have never had that experience, my family has always been around. But, I made it a priority early on that Christmas morning was for us to create. It really helped with our sense of our own family and I am so glad we made that our special time. Now, with us moving, I am finally feeling super grown up as the nearest family will be 3 hours away.
