I was going to save this for my weekly roundup but I love it so much and have thought of it the past few days so I want to share it all on it’s own now.
I think it’s a perfect illustration of taking time to slow down enough and look around and see all that we have to be thankful for in life. Not just the big things, but all those little things. The small things that bring smiles, the little details that make a house a home.

wow, who wrote that - oh, that was me! thanks so much Emily : )
I meant every word of it. I sure have enjoyed hearing a similar message from you as well.

news from your old stomping grounds! would you *believe* it if i told you I had lunch outside today, in my tee shirt? ! it’s 70*! the landscape looks as it should, though. i ran through a grove of trees that had all turned ochre this morning, and the floor was carpeted in the same golden shade. momentarily, it was like being caught up in a sunbeam. but i’ve got to say, even I, who am a wimp about cold weather, am finding this a touch bizzarre. it’s almost thanksgiving!
