Fall Front Porch Inspiration

Melissa at The Inspired Room is hosting a Front Porches Drive By party.

This could not come at better timing since I am currently working on my front porch. I’ve gotten as far as painting my front door red.

In need of inspiration and to join in the fun of the party, I drove around town this morning and took photos of some fall festive front porches.

Look at all those spooky spiders!!

Love the simple beauty of this

Hello beautiful red door!

Photobucket
Who needs to decorate for fall when their front yard looks like this?

Photobucket
Besides, the neighbor did enough fall decorating for the whole town!

Photobucket
Beautiful porch, terrible photo!

Photobucket
How funny to snap a pic of this with the pretty red benches and then realize there’s a black cat sitting there! Like they placed him perfectly at the entrance. He was looking at me a little creepy-like.

There you have it! A little front porch inspiration from the nation’s oldest city. I hope you enjoyed my little tour. I did, afterall, put up with getting the finger a few times and risked life and limb to snap and drive!

I am going to take some inspiration from these and get working on my porch now!

I really like the double red doors. I would love a red door (but it wouldn’t look right on my house–maybe my next one!). Also smiled when I saw that cat sitting there. Perfect! :-)

Love it! Great post idea. I’ve always wanted a yellow door. But that won’t ever happen while living in AZ. No association would ever allow that.

I love this post, Emily. Got me all autumny-mushy so I wrote a post of my own. No pretty porch shots, though.

Can’t wait to see what you do with yours. I LOVE red doors! Dadgum townhouse association restrictions…

I love all of these. Almost makes me want to go out and buy a house so that I can have a front porch (I live in an apartment) :-)

Oh, so pretty, Emily! You have some lovely porches by you. Glad you got out and snapped some pics for us! I sure love seeing how pretty everything is in other parts of the country…thanks for being a part of the drive by.

Now, where is your red door? Can’t wait to see.
