Alltop, confirmation that I kick ass

Our Last Big House Project

We’ve put it off long enough. It’s been 2 long years of remodeling our home, which involved the entire rebuild of our living room, kitchen, a bathroom and 3 bedrooms. Instead of taking on this project, we’ve done things like our new patio and then some “small” things over the summer. Now, the final project is underway. When we bought this house, the previous owners had started converting the garage into a master bedroom and bathroom. They got as far as a plywood floor, a little faux wood paneling on the walls and an avocado green/yellow-ish tub shower and a hole for the toilet. Then stopped. Nice!

We’ve shut the door on that room for a long time, using it for storage and tools. But it’s time to clear it out and turn it into our master bedroom and bathroom and we’re moving our laundry room over there too.

Hubby ripped out the walls and started pulling up the plywood floor last weekend. And he got electric in! Progress already! I thought I’d share what we’re working with here. It’s not pretty. Ugh.

This is where the laundry room is going. Our current laundry room will become just a mud room for the dogs.

That far corner is going to be the 2nd bathroom.

This lovely room here is going to be my master bedroom. Hubby is getting a shed for his birthday in 2 weeks so his tools have somewhere to live outside of the house! I would not even share the embarrassment that is this mess but look how happy my daughter is. It takes a special kind of girl to stand in that room with a broad smile across her face. Love her.

Hubby had to use his saws-all to get the bathtub/shower out of the house. Here he is destroying it even more in the yard while my son looks on.

We really know how to live it up, huh? Doesn’t this look fun? Don’t you want to come join in the fun? I will share photos as the project progresses. Let’s hope this goes quickly!!
