Poop and Writer Dad

My 19 month old son potty trained last week. It was like one of those moments in my life where I realize that not everything turns out as I expect it will. I was pleasantly surprised.

I am not going to make this long and drawn out and full of details because I know that really only a mother cares about where her kids are pooping.

What does this have to do with anything? Well, I am saving $50/month on diapers now! Frugal! Fabulous!

What does this have to do with Writer Dad? Do you know who he is? He’s a writer and a dad and he’s good. He weaves his words so well that he makes the mundane beautiful. He even has a post about poop! Poop. Put it in the Potty. He writes way better than me about everything, including potty training.

Check it out!

That’s awesome! And very early for him so go you! My son is 2.5 and potty trained about a month or two ago. It’s exciting!

You are so lucky. My 1st started at 24 months and I would say graduated diapers at 36 mos. Number 2 much easier - 24 mos. Number 3 is 9 years old and I still wonder sometimes. Congrats!

Potty training IS a big thing to other people too! My 2.5 year old is getting there (about 95% of the time) but still has some work to do. 19 months is a good place! Good work!

WriterDad rocks! His writing draws you in. Whatever the subject - including poop…

And…a potty-trained child is a very good thing - congratulations on getting over this hurdle!!

I remember well when this happened in our family…twice! The first girl used cloth diapers, the second used disposables. I remember heaving a huge sigh of relief when they were potty trained.

Then 7 years later, number 3(our son) & 4 (another girl) went on disposables. That was a big drain. Luckily this too came to an end.
