that is amazing. we have a family cabin, but it’s nowhere near what yours is. ours is more of the guys hunting cabin and hasn’t changed since the 70’s

i love the pantry and the nook at the top of the stairs. everything is so beautiful and it must be nice to know that a lot of love and hard work went into such a beautiful place!

This is a cottage!!!

I always thought cottages were more like little Red Riding Hood’s home, a smallish, conical building.

Yours looks like some of better resorts I have seen in brochures.

I love your idea that history makes things valuable and worthwhile, not just aesthetics. (I’m thinking of the funky chimney). I think a good question to ask of a vacation space is, “Does the room make you want to kick off your shoes, read a book and enjoy a beer?”

The cottage looks like a yes on all counts. Though I’d watch how many drinks I had before climbing into the reading nook!
