I had to share one of verses on my favourite children's song. It is about a poem found on a kindergarden wall...

"Of all you learn here, remember this the best:
Don't hurt each other and clean up your mess.
Take a nap everyday and wash before you eat.
Hold hands, stick together, look before you cross the street.
Remember the seed in the little paper cup...
First the root goes down and the plant grows up!!"

Soooooo true!

I love this post, Emily. So much truth and so much to learn. I'm sure this is the reason why it's said that we should keep hold of the child within us.

I'm a good napper and have learned to ignore those who think I'm lazy for it.

I think kids live in the moment, and that's an important lesson to learn from them. My 3 year old nephew also loves the moon, and whenever I go visit at night he always comes running to greet me so that we can stand on the balcony and look at the moon together. I really liked this post Emily.

I love "take a nap" and "use your hands" especially. It's like we forget that it's okay to get dirty. I love watching the kids I work with paint--they just wait to cover their hands in it! If I do that, I start worrying about cleaning the paint out of my nails. Lame.

I have to admit that even as a kid, I hated getting caught dancing. I remember going crazy in the living room to the Flashdance soundtrack and being mortified when my mom walked in!

Wonderful points, and I'm going to work on embracing kid-style simplicity this weekend.
