Instead Of Starbucks

I have mentioned before that I love Starbucks. Say what you will, but I love that place. Yet, for 6 weeks, here I am at the cottage and the closest Starbucks is a 30 minute drive. You betcha I am not leaving the serenity of this place and driving that far just for a latte. I may be a coffee junkie but I am no fool.
I have had to get creative and have started making my very own chai lattes at home. I bought a box of Tazo Chai mix for the price of one grande latte and it makes 5 homemade lattes. I have been getting my weekly daily fix right here at home and I must say that a latte in a big mug while curled up in the gazebo overlooking the lake during naptime beats a trip to Starbucks anyday.

Lovely! What an awesome picture. What a great place to curl up with a great book and a cup of something yummy. That stuff rocks!

I had that same thought when I was buying some drip coffee the other day. The whole amount of coffee which was $5.00 will last about two weeks vs. one latte which last about 10 minutes and cost near $4.00.
maybe this is why 600 starbucks stores are closing : )

That is a absolutely beautiful! No wonder so many people write novels in isolated places.

I love my Tazo Organic Chai Tea that I have been drinking at work every morning with cream and sugar, it’s heavenly, and only $4 for 20 tea bags.

You should get one of those hand-held frother thingies. They actually work really well….

I wouldn’t leave that view for all the tea in China!

@Dean, I used to have one of those frother thingies and it broke. I think I’ll be replacing it soon!

I love Starbucks! But, I’ve had to cut back in order to stick to my budget.

Talk about better scenery! Most people would pay extra for that luxury, and you’ve found a way to pay less. Again, you rule.

Starbucks must be really sad that you posted this article.
In one fell swoop you must have taken away about a couple of thousand customers.
Still something tells me that even Starbucks will understand why you chose to curl up here rather than to drive 30 mins.
