I really needed to read this post today. We are house hunting and I’ve truly convinced myself I deserve to live in the most prestigious neighborhoods. Chances are if we choose to live in such a neighborhood we will be “house poor” and there probably won’t be very many stay at home moms for me to hang out with because to afford such a lifestyle usually requires two incomes. I want to be happy and content and not so wrapped up in the battle of the neighborhoods. Thank you for helping me “check” myself and consider what’s really important.

I think impulse buying is what really does people in. Plan what you’re going to buy based on what you really need, and if you see anything else out there that you feel you want, wait to see if you still want it a month from now (for most things the answer will be “no”). Very good advice.

Great post, I am a good “justifier” of things I want but can also find great reason to have. Lately though I am looking around me at all I have “justified” and am wanting to get rid of it. I didn’t really NEED those things after all.

You know, I have to tell you, I really enjoy this blog and the insight from everyone who participates. I find it to be refreshing and very informative. I wish there were more blogs like it. Anyway, I felt it was about time I posted, I�ve spent most of my time here just lurking and reading, but today for some reason I just felt compelled to say this.
