No Sailboat Yet

I walked into the doctor’s office, scared and nervous today. Two months of health issues and now unexpected weight loss, 11 pounds off my already thin self, and a lump in the back of my neck. I’ll get it all checked out, just in case. My new doctor, unsettlingly handsome yet immediately reassuring with his demeanor, checks everything out.

We’ll do tests later, after I get back from vacation. Nothing worrisome enough to rush tests today. Whew. He thinks most of my symptoms are residual from the surgery and infection. So, for today, I am fine. Follow up tests in 6 weeks, but I am allowed to go and enjoy my vacation, “worry free” in his words. I was also given an official diagnosis of “need to drink more milkshakes”. That I can do.

Hubby is relieved. But a little disappointed too. When he got home today and I told him the results and answers so far, he replied, “I guess I can’t get my sailboat yet.” So funny he is, so freaking funny.

Whew. I’m so glad your handsome doctor doesn’t seem too worried. I’m also glad you’ll be getting fully checked out when you get back. Have a great vacation. Sorry about the sail boat. ;)

That’s good that the cute doctor said rush tests weren’t needed and to just enjoy your vacation! More milkshakes sounds like a good plan to me too!

Have a safe trip and I’m sure you’re going to have a fantastic time!

Have a good vacation, plenty of milkshakes, don’t worry about a thing…but stay on top of the tests when you get back. *hugs* Has it been a change in appetite or just less weight? When I was really depressed I lost 20lbs in a couple months. Just slipped away because I was eating small meals. Gained 10 back. :)

Wow Emily just came across this. A lump on your neck must be alarming! But glad all is well. Make sure you have some fries with that milkshake.
