My Hubby Spent $875 On Golf Clubs Today

Okay, he didn’t really. But right before I woke up this morning, I had a dream that he did. In the dream, we were out shopping. I was looking at jammies for our kids and trying to find them for, you know, like 4 cents a piece so I could be thrifty. I ended up spending about $10 on jammies and worrying about the money I’d spent. We stopped for lunch with my mom (who appeared out of nowhere. Love that about dreams) and during lunch, hubby sneaked away and bought himself $875 worth of new golf clubs.

I actually kinda had a panic attack in the dream and I woke up a little stressed and even checked our bank balance to make sure it wasn’t true.

Hubby likes to golf, I don’t mind that he golfs, I enjoy that he has a hobby and all that good stuff. But he does NOT need new golf clubs. I bought him a brand new set of Nike clubs a year and a half ago for his birthday. I think he’ll be just fine for a while.

I know why I had the dream though. Hubby came home a few days ago saying he’d played that afternoon with a set of irons from a friend. Callaways. And he loved them. Decided his game has been off because of his current set. Yes, really *eyeroll*. He doesn’t really want new clubs and he played with the coveted set of Callaways another day and stunk up the course, so it’s not the clubs, it’s just him :)

Sorry honey, the only way you’re getting new clubs is in my dreams.

    Very funny!
I love how people pop up in dreams. Most of the time. Except scary people.
I’m glad to hear he discovered it wasn’t the Callaways! I can relate. By husband turned from golf to biking (a regular bike, not a motorcycle.) He’s borrowed some fancy bike from a friend and now he’s convinced he needs a new one. Do you know they cost as much as a used car? Yikes!
    Anyway, I enjoyed your post!

Ha! Dreams are crazy. But I think sometimes they reveal things we’re thinking about. I won’t try to analyze yours because who knows what it was brought on by. I know sometimes I have nightmares where people create entire sites to mock me. I think there’s some insecurity there.
