Ram Dass (brilliant man) said once: you have to separate yourself from time. "The suffering that you and I go through is a direct result of identifying with that which is in time." Meaning stuff, our bodies, and our "perspective" on who we are and what we're "meant" to be. He said a fantastic thing in the same lecture.

"If you're a mother, you've got to be a mother! And at the same time, know: there is mothering, and here I am."

I have the whole lecture I could send to you as an MP3 if you have a way for me to send it ;) I could put it on my site and link you too the hosting to download. While he is a Buddhist yogi, he has some powerful insights into Christian living too and overall, he would be a great listen for you as you ponder. He's brought me to a place of much higher understanding: I now work on appreciating who I AM, not what I am - and knowing that I am only temporary and all I can do is love it or lose it ;)

Very nice blog! I totally agree with you on this post! I have been dealing with the same things...finding my purpose. I recently realized how important it is to dig deep into yourself to find your passion. My passion is my family. I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.

Great post!

If you get a chance, check out my blog: http://www.tneighborsonline.com

It's just a bunch of rambling but I find that it is a great outlet for me.
