We all need a reality check from time to time. My sister in law told me the other day that she is coming to the conclusion that we’re all “abnormal.” Maybe we need to redefine “normal,” huh?

You’ve done a ton of growing up, sounds like. It’s such a process and quite a long journey, this “growing up” thing.
I just posted on that, today, in fact.

I grew up in a happy family and we’re still close, but I still have those “yucky” memories that pop up from time to time and I tell myself that those memories are all seen from a child’s perspective. I shudder to think what my own kids may interpret wrongly in years to come. I tell them constantly we have got to give each other a lot of grace, because we all need it so desperately.

And you’re so right, gratitude is HUGE. I’m only just learning that, myself. It colors how we view the world around us. I’m working on that!
