I think it&#039;d depend on how far away I was and how much money it was. I&#039;d probably go back for something over $10 that wasn&#039;t miles and miles and miles away. Under $10, I might give it to them the next time I went to the store. Under $3-4 I probably wouldn&#039;t bother unless there was some easy way to do it. Probably similar if I was overcharged.

The one place where this is different is with tips. Definitely would drive back to tip and tip extra. One evening we went for dessert with friends. They paid, but forgot to leave a tip (infant son, so they were busy juggling him). We realized after we got back to our place. Since they live farther away we just decided to drive back the next day and leave the tip ourselves. Fortunately, we knew our server&#039;s name.</description>
