It's so true.

We so often overlook all the good that we already have and year and bellyache about what we don't have.

I am now in Mali, West Africa. Today we went to a place called Koulikoro along the Niger River, where they mine river sand for sale to the construction industry.

I saw children about the age of my younger ones, toiling away in the burning sun, filling donkey carts with sand.

All the trip back, I was deep in thought, thanking God, for having been given so much of a better life.

That is a good one. Children's books often have lessons that adults need to learn just as much as the kids!
